New Model Launch – Introducing the EagleCraft 36 HLC

EagleCraft recently delivered a new innovation – the 36 Hybrid Landing Craft (HLC) to Oceanfix.ca Ventures Ltd.  This custom design is diver-centric, and will deliver a premium experience for divers accessing the unique waters of the Pacific Northwest.

Design and Construction

We set out with the objective to create a Hybrid Landing Craft series ranging from 31’ to 38’. The 36′ HLC topside has traditional landing craft attributes with our well-regarded deep V hull design bottom design inspired by our commercial heritage.

The 36 HLC for Oceanfix.ca was designed with every feature intended to enhance the diving experience. The deck layout is based upon the traditional landing craft style. Our new integrated dive lift, which gives divers a safe platform for seamless entrance to the water. The forward ramp and dive elevator are hydraulic powered and controlled from the forward helm station for optimal safety and visibility. Simply remove the safety pins holding the ramp in place and with a push of button lower the ramp until parallel with the waterline. With a flip of a switch the ramp controls now operate the dive elevator up and down. The dive elevator lowers more than 5’ below the waterline with the capacity to carry two divers.

On Deck

The exterior seating on the boat is specifically designed to accommodate up to 10 divers with intentional space for gear, and tank storage forward. Additional divers can be accommodated in the rear deck with a custom dive ladder off the stern. The forward dive seating is removable to allow for transporting a ATV or exterior seating option for 12 passenger in a traditional sight seeing/ tourism function.  When the  seating is removed cargo can be transported too.

Access Points

The HLC portfolio was designed with accessibility in mind, with  multiple different access points available. Oceanfix.ca selected dual transom doors to the oversized swim grid on either side of the outboards along with the forward ramp suit their operations best. We offer side access doors,  and several different front ramp options ranging from 66” to 24” wide. The vessel can be built with a traditional V shaped bow in lieu of a ramp as well.

Interior

This 36′ HLC is designed to carry 12 passengers with the optional exterior seating package for the ultimate guest experience.  The interior has 6 bench seats for 12 passengers designed for the damp dive environment, while the helmsman has commercial grade suspension seat.  Moving aft  in the cabin offers a full head with sink for guests. We several different interior seating options,  that include dinettes, premium seating,  and small galleys for food service. The cabin can be designed to offer a unique customer experience.

 Power

The OceanFix 36’ HLC deploys:

• Twin Yamaha 300hp outboards standard. (Other outboards engine manufacturers are available upon request. The vessel is also designed and available with single or twin Volvo Penta diesels)
• Garmin electronics suite
• Optimus 360 steering and joystick features
• 212 USG/ 800 Litres fuel capacity
• With full fuel tanks and passengers the boat cruises at 25 knots and tops out over 33 knots
